Still
It's not alright when you think it is.
Think again.

I should get things going.

I think I like him.

There's a fine line between liking and loving.
There's a really fine line between admiring and liking, though they may be synonyms of each other.

On the other note,
I should get myself 5 alarm clocks.

1. Offline productive working.
2. Drafting.
3. Building Plan Set

Pen
My mind is in a twirl as I,
start pondering over what has happened and what will happen next.

And putting that aside,
I feel somehow ignorant about the current affairs,
about issues affecting me, yes, me.
Let's say the course I'm studying on, Architecture.

Thinking back then, when we used to write journals 'weekly', and to submit at the end of every semester, which accumulated to 13- 14 journals with an essay of min. 2000 words per semester.
But now, at Year 3, we do not have this module anymore.
While others dread on that module, I yearn for it.

I've a friend, majoring in Architecture at NUS.
She showed me one of her blog entries, on her random thought.
Of what?
Architecture.
And she asked for my opinion.

'Asianisation' of Architecture

i had a random thought. i was wondering, that the architectural profession is not authentically 'asian' per se. the pioneers of classical architecture: borromini, brunelleschi, albertini - they created massive masterpieces in stone, to be preserved to this day. when we shift over to the orient, however, vernacular architecture doesn't seem to have a similar position. the concentric mandala wasn't conjured by an architect. the steep gable of the pitched roof wasn't calculated by an architect. the private/ public transition of a longhouse wasn't drafted by an architect. there was no real architect in vernacular architecture. there was only the people that lived there, experienced enough to know what was best for the climate, or religiously devout enough to come up with ecclesiastical zonings.

and so the architectural profession isn't something native to the east.

does this carry at least some truth?

Ah, envy happens,
once in a while, it's okay.
